Author Commentary: call it a human plea; Caleb Widogast/Essek Thelyss, E

I wanted to start posting some of my thought processes with my fics because honestly I just really like thinking about this stuff and hey who knows maybe other folks might enjoy it too? And if not it'll still be fun to have something to come back to  and remember what I was thinking at the time that I put these stories together. 

So beneath the cut we're going to start with baby's first Critical Role fic. I always feel like my entré into a fandom comes with either a kind of subpar or otherwise weird fic, and this isn't much of an exception to that rule. I very much liked the idea for it but in retrospect I think there were a couple places where the concept didn't quite land, and I'll note that as I go along. My comments will be interspersed through the fic text in orange. You can find the unaltered fic here on the Ao3.
