Dear Critter,

Hey there! I’m flammablehat. You may know me from such other social media accounts as flammablehat (tumblr) and flammablehat (ao3). I’m very excited to be jumping into Critmas for the very first time this year! So, this is my first Dear Critter letter and I’m going to do my best to cover everything, hopefully without being too long-winded. (Special thanks to Capitola and Aunt Zelda for holding my hand through this sign up process, lol)

First, on the subject of DNWs: to be honest, infidelity/cheating is basically my only hard no. There are other things I probably wouldn’t actively seek out, but I’m willing to be persuaded within the context of a given story.

Things I don't really anticipate being common story elements but which I will note as a DNW anyway - eye related trauma or torture, fingernail related trauma or torture (someone who bites their nails is whatever, but more physically serious things get squicky for me real fast).

And finally, if you could avoid epithets (eg: the brunette, the blonde, the drow, the human, the [random descriptor here], etc) that'd be amazing - names and/or pronouns will do just fine. And also I prefer 'come' as the spelling to 'cum', for anyone who's interested in going more porny.

If going porny is your jam, however, you could not have found a more receptive…recipient? Anyway, yes. Go ham. Go ham sandwich. Kinky or vanilla, balls to the wall pwp or 100% plot, I’m here for it. I’ve been in fandom for *checks watch* uh 18 years at this point - I cannot be alarmed and I have no pearls left to clutch. 

Now for a quick breakdown of the requests!

Request 1: CR Campaign 1

Ah, campaign one. Percy and Vex are my ride or die OTP. I’m a multishipper so it’s not like I don’t also like other pairings (next year perhaps I will figure out how to participate in nominations and request the Percy/Vex/Jarett threesome that lives in my heart) but you really can’t go wrong with anything involving the two of them. I’m fond of things that explore their power play together and also Percy’s unconventional gestures of devotion for Vex. 

I’m also a huge fan of the idea of the twins taking Percy apart. If you wanna go full-blown twincest threesome, I’d be delighted. If you’d rather stick with a Percy buffer in the middle, that’s also great and very welcome.

Kiki, Gilmore and Vax soothe my wounded post-campaign 1 heart. ‘There was only one bed!’ could honestly be super funny with these three. 

And finally, Grogleth and Grog/Vax are my C1 rarepairs of choice. 

Requests 2 and 3: CR Campaign 2

I ended up making CR2 two of my ‘fandoms’ for the purposes of signing up in order to reach 4 total requests, so consider this a combination of requests 2 and 3. 

Jester is my favorite, full stop. You’ll probably notice request 2 is organized by all my Jester ships. I love her with almost everybody, but my particular favorites are definitely Caleb, Beau, and Essek. Any combinations thereof are fully welcome. (Would I die for something with Beau and Caleb ‘sharing’ Jester even if they’re not involved with each other? Why yes, yes I would!) 

As for request 3 and other non-Jester pairings, Shadowgast, Fjorclay, and BeauYasha are all love. I don’t see Cadwulf as a crack ship so much as a rarepair, but that might just be splitting hairs at this point. I do think they’re great, if you happen to be on that tiny train too. ^_^ 

Request 4: CR RPF

Small disclaimer going in: I look at RPF as a fun game of turning the real people we love watching into ‘characters’ for the purposes of transformative fanworks. I’d ask that any gifts made for this request be locked to AO3 users because I think a clear division between fandom and real life is a good and respectful way to conduct this kind of fannish engagement.

Now with the thoughts! This is the request where poly and non-monogamy in particular will come in useful. You don’t have to explicitly mention it in the fic, but this is where I’d be especially careful not to… construct anything as if any of the participants are betraying the trust of a spouse or partner. 

Anything roleplay-oriented for any of the listed pairings would be solid gold, as far as I’m concerned (eg Matt giving his partners a scene and they all play it out together - things get sexy or silly or whatever strikes your fancy). 

For the threesomes/moresome, anything where the participants are playing with/tormenting/showering love and affection on their third/fourth is a surefire way to my heart and/or pants. Pranks and prank wars welcomed and encouraged. 

Please feel free to go wild with AU in this arena. Travis/Laura/Liam regency fic would make me LOSE MY MIND. Can you imagine? GOD. A western AU? Even a generic fantasy AU - whatever floats your boat. 

Finally and specifically - anything with Travis/Taliesin/Laura that acknowledges that the marrieds both have characters who’ve fallen in love with Tal’s characters would be great. 

Prompts:

These are just some ideas to get you started if you’d like to use them! 

• Someone needs a rare spell component. For some reason a cat-burglary style caper becomes the best option for retrieving said component. 
• Someone has been whammied with magical sleep. Someone else (or multiple someones?) takes advantage. 
• Someone has been whammied with magical sleep. Their friends are having a really hard time figuring out how to wake them up. 
• The characters in question have to take some kind of lesson in a skill in which none of them are trained. (Think Caleb/Jester/Essek taking the most basic of self defense lessons from Beau, for instance.) Chaos ensues. 
• Kissing lessons for an inexperienced partner leads to more 
• There’s only one bed and everyone who needs to sleep thinks the ‘noble option’ of offering to take the floor is kind of stupid, so obviously they’re going to sleep together, it’ll be fine! Why do people make a big deal out of this anyway? 
• Literally anything with one (or more) character(s) playing with another character's hair. Something gentle and fluffy? Something unexpected and erotic? Something platonic and soothing? Whatever moves you - I'm a sucker for all of it.  

Pairing specific prompts: 

• Widojest tailor AU. Humble tailor Caleb has been commissioned to make a series of debut outfits for Nicodranas’ most eligible lady on the occasion of her entering society. Fittings, unexpected conversations that get progressively more intimate, falling for the person from the wrong side of the tracks. 
• For some reason Essek has to keep Jester company/have her follow him through a normal day in his life. He’s put out by it at first but finds himself getting defensive on her behalf when she doesn’t understand customs or makes little social faux pas that earn her negative attention. Could be canon speculative, canon AU, modern AU, or otherwise. If you wanted to take this in a romantic direction I absolutely wouldn’t say no. 
• Beau and Jester have to huddle for warmth for some reason. It’s complicated by the fact that Jester naturally runs so cool. How will they ever warm up???
• Fjorclay - a long touch-starved Caduceus doesn’t really understand why it feels so good to get Fjord’s hands on him and also maybe doesn’t know how to ask for more
